Product Variations & Color Settings

As we have noted on our product pages, the actual product may vary from our product picture representations. This can be due to many factors. The first is that wood is a natural product and not every piece of wood is the same. Colors may slightly vary, as will the grain of the wood. Not all manufacturers stain their wood to create a complete consistancy in color. Also some wood species are photosensitive to light and during the first three months after installation they will darken. After the first 3 months the color will stabalize, however you must remember to keep as much of the floor uncovered as possible, any area not exposed to light will not darken the same as the areas that are exposed to light. Some photosensitive species of wood are:

Amendoim

American Cherry

Angico Bavarian Cherry

Beaujolais Cherry

Brazilian Eucalyptus

Chianti Cherry

Roman Magnolia

Silician Teak

Tiete Rosewood

Tigerwood

Tuscan Striped Pecan

Victorian Padouk

Another reason that sample colors shown on our website and the actual product may vary is due to how your computer's moniter is setup to handle color. If you have an older moniter it just may not have the capability to show color properly. Therefor it is always best to check the actual product samples before ordering.
