 On January 6,2010 Quality Floors Direct had the honor of donating approx. 2500 sf of flooring to a Homes for Our Troops project benefiting SSG Michael Downing in Middleboro MA. SSG Downing was seriously wounded during his second tour of duty in Afghanistan.

  Along with the generous help of many of our loyal contractor customers, we were able to organize a team of professional floor installers that donated their time and energy to install the flooring in this project. This installation went relatively smooth and the entire job was completed in one day.

  We would  like to thank DriTac Adhesive for donating the All in One adhesive that was used to install the flooring. The following flooring contractors donated their time and employees to help during this Install:

 I had the pleasure of visiting Somerset Flooring’s Kentucky Headquarters this past week. Before going, I already has my impressions of Somerset being one of the better US mills. When we left there, I had no doubt that Somerset is a first class company that produces a great U.S. made product. We were able to see first hand how they promoted sustainable forestry practices. There wasn’t an ounce of saw dust that went unused. Their quality control seemed to be first rate with a hands on manufacturing line from start to finish.  Today we remember the 8th anniversary of 9/11.  It seems to me that far too many people have forgotten what happened to our country on that morning. We have all been consumed by the economic crisis and the the normal day to day grind. We should all take time to remember what happened to our country that day. If you see a servicemen or women, thank them. Thank a police officer or fireman and all that serve our country. This is America and we are all free because of the protection that they provide us. Our politicians in Washington have seem to have forgotten as well.  We should remember this every day of the year not just today, but if today is the only time you remember then do it. Remember it for what it is and give thanks that you are alive and not one that died that day or has given your life in defense of our great country.  Today and every day BE PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN !!
